Good to know

Questions, answered

What can I make with one pack?

Four things: koozh (porridge), mudde (sangati balls), dosa and puttu — the steps for each are below.

Is it good for daily breakfast?

Yes — ragi is naturally rich in calcium and fibre, and the Kaatuyanam rice adds a low-GI grain base.

Can babies or elders eat it?

Ragi porridge is a traditional first food and comfort food. Cook it thinner for easier eating.

Why is the ragi soaked first?

Traditional soaking improves mineral absorption and digestibility — the way it was always done.
