Ragi Nourish Blend
Net wt. 250 g
Ragi (finger millet) is one of India’s oldest superfoods — exceptionally rich in calcium and fibre, sustaining generations of farming families.
Description
Ragi Nourish Blend — one versatile blend of traditionally soaked ragi and Kaatuyanam red rice that makes four dishes: koozh/porridge, mudde/sangati, dosa and puttu. Calcium-rich finger millet meets the famously filling Kaatuyanam in a single everyday pack.
Ingredients
Traditionally soaked ragi and Kaatuyanam red rice. Organically grown · 100% vegetarian · no preservatives, colours or flavourings.
Usage info — four ways to cook it
- Ragi koozh/porridge: Mix ¼ cup blend with 1 cup water and cook until thick. Serve warm with milk and jaggery — or cool, shape into balls, ferment overnight in water, then dilute with buttermilk and salt and serve with pickles or chutney.
- Ragi mudde/sangati: Cook ¼ cup blend in ¾ to 1 cup boiling salted water, stirring continuously until thick. Shape into balls while warm and serve hot with sambar, gravies or rasam.
- Ragi dosa: Mix 1 cup blend with water to a pourable batter. Add a tablespoon of buttermilk for tang if making immediately, or ferment 6–8 hours. Spread thin on a hot tawa and cook until crisp.
- Ragi puttu: Sprinkle water over 1 cup blend until crumbly. Add a pinch of salt. Steam in a puttu maker or idli steamer for 8–10 minutes and serve with coconut.

Questions, answered
What can I make with one pack?
Four things: koozh (porridge), mudde (sangati balls), dosa and puttu — the steps for each are below.
Is it good for daily breakfast?
Yes — ragi is naturally rich in calcium and fibre, and the Kaatuyanam rice adds a low-GI grain base.
Can babies or elders eat it?
Ragi porridge is a traditional first food and comfort food. Cook it thinner for easier eating.
Why is the ragi soaked first?
Traditional soaking improves mineral absorption and digestibility — the way it was always done.
